Repairs and maintenance
We can take care of any repairs or help with preventative maintenance to increase the longevity of your sails.
No matter how small, repairs should be tackled promptly, because if left too long they may become bigger and more costly problems! Although some smaller repairs may be undertaken by sailors, there is really no substitute for getting the sail professionally repaired. Very often a sailmaker may have an idea what caused the damage in the first place and help rectify the problem a lot quicker than you can!
We can undertake general checks of your sails which includes a thorough repair/checking service where every seam is checked for abrasion, hardware is checked and replaced as required and all repairs/faults are rectified.
We can collect and deliver from most yacht clubs, or feel free to drop by the sail loft to have a chat about your needs.
Reshaping
We can also do recuts and alterations to ensure your sails are fully optimised at all times. We have previoulsy re-shaped mainsails and headsails for clients with great results. Call us to discuss.
Sail evaluations
Want to be more competetive without spending a fortune? You may not need to buy a new sail but simply need to breathe some life into your existing sail with a recut. Often sails stretch with time and lose their shape, but can be tweaked in order to get another couple of seasons out of them.
We can undertake sail evaluations either on the water or in the loft to determine if reshaping is feasible and worth while. We have previoulsy re-shaped mainsails and headsails for clients with great results. Call us to discuss.
Storage
